Parts of the Paintball Gun

Here are the basic three main components of a paintball gun that you need to know:

Firing system: This is where the air pressure comes in that allows the paintballs to be shot into the air.

Feed system: This is where the paintballs are loaded and fed into the gun via gravity or an electronic hopper system.

Barrel: This is what shoots out the paintballs at high speeds once they are loaded into the firing chamber.

All you need to do is to put your mind to it and follow the steps below carefully.

Build Your Own Paintball Gun – Assembling

To assemble your DIY paintball gun at home, here are the main steps;

👉 To make a paintball gun at home, you’ll need to first make a PVC barrel. If you’re using a 20-inch long barrel, cut it down to about 10 inches using a hacksaw. Make sure to smooth out the edges of the cut with sandpaper so you don’t get cut by them.

👉 You’ll also want to drill a hole through the middle of the bottom part of your PVC pipe and screw in an elbow joint.

👉 To make your paintball gun even more effective, add another PVC piece on top of the one you just made so that you can make your gun shoot faster and farther. To do this, flip your PVC over and screw on a round cap to the bottom.

👉 Then, attach another 2-inch T-joint to the top of that cap before attaching another 6-inch piece of PVC pipe to it.

👉 Finally, glue an end cap onto the other side of that 6-inch pipe and use a power drill to make a small hole in it. This hole will work as a filling chamber for your paintballs.

👉 Now fit the air reservoir tank with fittings on one end of the bottom pipe.

👉 Now you have two options one is to make it a manual gun and you blow into the pipe with a blowgun to fire the paintballs in the magazine.

The other is to make it semi-automatic and fit an air compressor at the end of the blowgun.

👉 After carefully assembling all the parts and firing them, your gun is ready to shoot.

And that’s all about making your simple DIY paintball gun.
